Introductory Course 1
This workshop will provide practical and clear information about the tarot, its structure and basic meanings of the cards. We will review how to store and care for your cards, best ways to prepare for a reading and several basic layouts. It is the goal of this workshop to help you establish a basic knowledge of tarot, as you develop your relationship with the cards, adding individual layers of information to the standard interpretations.
This eight workshop begins with the Major Arcana and the Fool’s Journey, and follows with the Minor Arcana, the four different suits, their elements, basic astrology and numerology. Worksheets and handouts will be provided every class. Due to the quantity of information given in this workshop in a short amount of time, you can expect a minimal amount of homework.
Requirements: a 1" binder with loose leaf paper, writing instruments, and a tarot deck. A tarot deck based on the Rider-Waite deck is preferred deck of study but not mandatory.
Class will meet at the same place and time for 8 weeks (typically 4 weeks on, one week off, and then four weeks on).
Classes are currently held in Greensboro, North Carolina. For information regarding upcoming classes in the area see the Events page on this site.
